Certificate II in Resources & Industry Work Preparation

Employers please note:

At times Axxis IQ works with Resources and Infrastructure employers who consider this course an invaluable employment tool. Graduates arrive onsite prepared for an employment pathway which can lead to future Certificate III qualifications as required.
Employers who try this method of sourcing new employees, prefer this pathway as they come equipped with a number of important national qualifications (such as Std. 11) and a sound knowledge of hazard identification and safety requirements. This means accelerated integration to the workplace and a minimisation of downtime due to on-the-job training and other inefficiencies caused by lack of knowledge or experience.
Another substantial benefit, is a dramatic decrease in staff turnover, as usually only genuine job seekers will sit through the weeks of the course and from the first couple of days will thoroughly understand what our, and employer expectations are, which gives them a chance to opt out before the going gets tough. Thus, the course effectively becomes a multiple-week interview!
A decrease in staff turnover also means a decrease in advertising costs, interview costs, administration costs and training expenses. Please see our employers page for additional information, or to complete an enquiry form seeking a call from our friendly staff. The results of this program have been great and speak for themselves.

Course Description

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, whilst taking some responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.

This Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation is a pathway qualification and will prepare an individual to successfully undertake a Certificate III from the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this qualification can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors. Relevant information must be sourced prior to application of the qualification.

Courses are run in response to employer demand, consequently there are often high employment outcomes. The course is generally delivered at our Clontarf facility or if there is sufficient employment demand, the course can be run at any appropriate location.
Axxis IQ is committed to ensuring your competency, consequently class sizes are limited, but may vary in size due to a variety of reasons, such as age, abilities and workplace experience.

Course duration can also vary depending on elective requirements, but a minimum of 3 weeks is the norm. If plant equipment electives are involved, this may increase duration to 5 weeks.
